What happens during the site visit?

We measure the space, check the grade and how far the deck will sit above it, look at where water runs during rain, check whether material can reach the back of the house without being hand-carried, and inspect the wall where a ledger would attach. On an existing deck we also get underneath to look at footings, posts and the ledger connection. It usually takes under an hour.
